Ms. Deborah Shipp Houston, aged 62, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. She was born in Joliet, IL on November 24, 1961, to Joe Dowda and the late Bernice Lyda Dowda.

Deborah was a dedicated Property Manager for Yes Communities and of the Christian faith. She found joy in spending quality time with her family, camping adventures, embarking on road trips, and radiated a shining light wherever she went, touching the lives of those around her in meaningful ways.

She is survived by her children, Dana Holmes (fiancé William Olsen), Abby Rodriguez, and Jace Garrison; grandson, Adam Holmes (Kenneth Carmichael); father, Joe Dowda; siblings, Mike (Lori) Dowda, Greg (Wendy) Welch, Chuck Welch, and Wes (Debra) Dowda. Deborah was preceded in death by her daughter, Courtney Shipp, and sister, Kathy Thompson.

A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 3 PM, held in the chapel of Almon Funeral Home.
