Mrs. Deborah Ann Hamilton, age 77, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Born on April 1, 1949, in Atlanta, Georgia, Deborah was the daughter of the late Ed Hitchcock and Virginia Adams Hitchcock. She was a dedicated educator who spent 10 years teaching at Fairplay Middle School with the Douglas County Board of Education. Deborah furthered her education by earning a Masters and Specialist degree from the University of West Georgia.

Deborah had a deep love for animals and found great joy in spending time working in her yard. She also enjoyed attending car shows and took great pride in cleaning and detailing vehicles. A true classic car enthusiast, she especially enjoyed her passion for cars and everything associated with them.

Deborah was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who cherished her family dearly. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angela (Clay) Selph; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel (Brandi) Hamilton; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy (Barry) Hudder; brother and sister-in-law, Mike (Shelley) Hitchcock; grandchildren, Daylin McKelvey, Asher (Charlee) Hamilton, Andrew Hamilton, Sadie Selph, and Noah Selph.

In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Edward Hamilton.

In accordance with Deborah’s wishes, her body has been cremated, and no services are planned.
