David Arthur Word, 60, of Rome Street, Carrollton died Thursday, October 16, 2008. Survivors include parents, Reuben & Mary Florence Word of Carrollton, brother, Gerald Patrick Word of Carrollton, sister, Susan Word Kypres of Pensecola, FL, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11 A .M. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Kagiyama officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Georgia Amateur Radio Society. Interment will be in the Carrollton City Cemetery with American Legion Post #143 presenting the flag. Almon Funeral Home of Carrollton in charge of arrangements.
