Mr. David P. Hawley, Jr., age 56, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Monday, July 15, 2013. Mr. Hawley was born in Cordele, Georgia on December 7, 1956, the son of the late David P. Hawley, Sr. and Cornelia Thornton Hawley. He was a car salesman and a member of the Carrollton First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Susan W. Hawley; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Marcia Hawley of Mooresville, NC; sisters and brother-in-law, Eleanor and Royce Thrower of Charlotte, NC and Cecilia Hawley of Fitzgerald, GA. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Carrollton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Gerry Davis and Rev. Tac Coley officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Ensemble and the Church Chancel Choir. The family will receive friends in the Gathering Room on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
