Mr. David Paul Cook, age 37, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026.

David was born on September 23, 1988, in Carrollton, Georgia, to Melissa Pope Motes and Paul Cook. He was a graduate of Bowdon High School and earned his CDL certification. David faithfully worked as Maintenance Lead at Pilgrim's Pride for the past four years. He was also a member of Journey Fellowship Church in Bremen, Georgia.

David was a passionate fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs, but above all else, he loved being a father to his twin boys. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for family, and the joy he brought to those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Heidi Johnson Cook; twin sons, Mason and Myles Cook; mother, Melissa Motes; father, Paul Cook; sisters, Emily Motes, Lexi Cook; brothers, Grayson Motes, Timothy Cook, Dylan Cook, Eric Cook, and Trevor Cook; grandmother, Jeannette White; grandfather, Lonnie Cook; aunts and uncles, Annette and Jeff Kennedy, Dale and Junior Pope, Jason and Karen Lockwood; aunts, Kimberly Pope, Ginger Sanford; uncles, David Pope, Henry Cook; along with many other extended family members and friends.

David was preceded in death by his bonus dad, Ron Motes; grandfather, Lloyd Pope; grandmother, Diane Cook; and brother, Chris Cook.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 2 PM until 4 PM at Almon Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 3 PM in the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Pastor John Lemmings, officiating.

Inurnment will follow in West Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
