Mr. David B. Bud Davis, age 81, formerly of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016. He was born January 21, 1935 to the late Milton G. and Sallie Mae Davis of Wilsonville, Alabama. Bud was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army and retired from the City of Birmingham Engineering Department as Senior City Engineering Inspector in 1999 after 43 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his much loved parents-in-law, E. L. and Lola Marie Marlow; sister, Jeanette Flowers; brother-in-law, Bobby F. Marlow; nieces, Christal McDonald and Cindy Miller. David (Bud) is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Elizabeth M. Davis; daughter, Denise Shiver of Carrollton, Georgia; granddaughters, April Christina (Arcana) Almeida of North Carolina, Stephanie Michelle Shiver of Salt Lake City, Utah. He is also survived by his much loved grand-kit, Sophie Marie as well as sisters, Sharyn Lee Russell and Marie Davis McDonald both of Pleasant Grove, Alabama; sister-in-law, Logene Legar of Birmingham, Alabama and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service and interment will be held Friday, August 19, 2016 at 11 AM(CST) at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, Alabama. The U.S. Army will provide military honors.
