Mr. David "Dave" Benjamin Collins, age 37, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022. Mr. Collins was born on January 4, 1985 in Carrollton, Georgia, son of Barrie Collins and Michelle Morgan Kelly. He is survived by his mother, Michelle Morgan Kelly; father and step-mother Barrie and Angela Collins; step-mother, Karen Collins; brothers, Jeremy Collins (Laura), Ian Collins; sister, Flynne Collins; niece, Annabelle Collins; nephew, Ashton Collins; maternal grandparents, Cheryl and Linda Morgan; step-grandparents, John and Becky Pillsbury; partner, Rebecca "Becca" Patrick. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dr. Sandra Latimer Collins and James Collins. David was a committed and accomplished visual artist, whose focus was print. He was a versatile craftsman, working with many media types. David was an inspiration to his peers and younger artists, and has been credited with being the reason a number of influential artists themselves chose to focus on print making as art form. David was a reader, an intellectual, a thinker. He was truly an individualist, courageous in his commitment to living as an artist. He was also beloved by all who knew him. Our hearts are collectively broken but living our lives, all of us, with joy and courage is what he, and his grandmother, Dr. Sandra Collins, would insist upon. We love you David.
