Mrs. Daryl Gay Stanfield of Carrollton, formerly of Albany died Monday, November 25, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.

The graveside service honoring her life will be held at 2 PM Friday at Crown Hill Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Kinsaul officiating

A native of Scotland, GA, Mrs. Stanfield was born to the late Arthur and Nina Gay. She was one of fourteen children. Mrs. Stanfield was a follower of Christ and served her Lord and Savior everywhere she moved. She was an active member of Concord Baptist Church until her health did not allow her to attend. While living in Albany, Mrs. Stanfield was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church. She loved to travel, solve puzzle games, but most of all, helping others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Lester Stanfield, Jr. and a stepdaughter, Vickie Stanfield.

She is survived by a son, William Lester "Stan" Stanfield, III; a daughter, Susan Stanfield McCrary; 5 grandchildren: Rachael Dudley, Destiny Goins (Michael), Tim McCrary (Lauran), Jennifer Stanfield, and Leslie McCrary Pickett (Korey); 7 great-grandchildren: Justyn, Isabella, Rylan, Addie, Olivia, Benjamin, and Mason; and many nieces and nephews.
