Danny Ray
Conrad
Aug 21, 1966 — May 15, 2025
Danny Conrad, beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and adventure.
He was born on August 21, 1966 in Parkersburg, West Virginia the son of Glada Carol Groves Conrad and the late Howard Lee Conrad.
He was a man who truly embraced life—finding joy in the great outdoors, traveling the country, and spending time with the people he cherished most.
Danny had a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, hiking, and kayaking, and in recent years, he discovered a new love, golf. He especially enjoyed hitching up the 5-wheel and hitting the road to explore. In retirement, Danny and his wife Dawn lived out their dreams by traveling extensively—visiting numerous National Parks, discovering new states, and even journeying to multiple countries together.
A man of strong faith, Danny was a devoted member of Midway West Church, where he found joy and fellowship in his church family. His spiritual beliefs were a cornerstone of his life, guiding him with love, purpose, and gratitude.
Danny retired from MARTA in 2018 after 34 years of dedicated service. Never one to stay idle, he continued working part-time with Bulldog Truck, Trailer, and RV when not traveling.
He is survived by his loving wife Dawn; his children: son Justin (Veronica) Conrad of El Paso, TX, daughter Chelsea Conrad of Franklin, GA, son Chat (Megan) King of Germany, son Dristen King of Carrollton, and daughter Ashley (Meghan) Allen; and his seven beautiful grandchildren, all of whom he adored. He is also survived by his mother, Glada Conrad of Bremen; and his brother, Mark (Susan) Conrad of Carrollton; nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his father.
Danny's adventurous spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
