Obituary

Mrs. Constance Sharp Barfield, 87, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2007 in Carrollton, Ga. Mrs. Barfield was born in Fulton County, Georgia on July 24, 1920, the daughter of the late Eber Ira Sharp and Laura Ellen Turner Sharp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, son Nathan, and daughter, Rebecca. Before moving to Carrollton fifty years ago, she lived in Marietta Ga. where she was a member of the St. Stephens Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School and participated in many of the other church activities. Until physically unable, she was a faithful member at First United Methodist Church, and Allie Bell Sunday School Class in Carrollton. Mrs. Barfield was a charter member of the Women's Society of Christian Service. She was never shy in telling of her confidence in her Lord. She loved gardening and creating floral designs. She was generous in supporting children, veteran, and religious organizations. She was an avid reader and shared her books with her many friends and causes. Mrs. Barfield is survived by nieces and nephews in Marietta, Powder Springs, and Alpharetta Georgia, and Meridian, Mississippi. Funeral services will be Friday, July 27, 2007at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Karla Otroszko officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p. m. in Kennesaw Memorial Park on Dallas Highway, Marietta, Ga. Pallbearers will be Craig Echols, Dennis Echols, Jason Webb, Boland Clay, Phil Carter, and Richard Dixon.
