Ms. Connie Higgins Powers, age 73, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
Born September 24, 1951, in Haralson County, Connie was the daughter of the late Loyd Higgins and Ethel Hendrix Higgins. She was a devoted mother, loving grandmother, cherished sister, and a creative soul whose talents and faith touched many lives.
Connie had a deep appreciation for the arts. She expressed her creativity through crocheting, painting, writing, quilting, and playing the piano. These gifts reflected her vibrant spirit and the care she extended to those around her. A strong Christian, Connie's life was rooted in faith, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and grace.
She is survived by her beloved children: Clint and Donna Powers, Rhonda and Alan Williamson, Clay Powers, Heather and Paul Lewis, Tiffany Crews, and Preston and Elizabeth Powers; and her treasured grandchildren: Hope and Austin Gray, Avery Williamson, Micah Lewis, Mason Lewis, Caleb and Grace Crews, Ellie Crews, Mylie Crews, Hudson Powers, Miles Powers, and Henry Powers. Connie is also survived by her siblings: Charlotte Black, Edwin Higgins, Robert Higgins, and Brenda Floyd. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Jason Powers, and her great-grandchild, Finn Elias Gray.
A time of visitation with the family will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Almon Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Mr. Tommy Higgins officiating and Tiffany Crews delivering the eulogy.
Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Lewis, Alan Williamson, Shane Crews, Micah Lewis, Mason Lewis, Avery Williamson, Caleb Crews, and Hudson Powers. Honorary pallbearers will be Miles and Henry Powers.
