Cloma Chandler

Mrs. Cloma Ruth Williamson Chandler, age 89, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

Mrs. Chandler was born on July 16, 1937, in the Burwell community of Carrollton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Robert Williamson and Minnie Williamson. She was a devoted homemaker and also enjoyed many years of working in sales with Avon.

Cloma’s life was one of faithful service to her family, her church, and her community. As the wife of a pastor for many years, she lovingly supported her husband’s ministry and faithfully served those around her. She was blessed with a beautiful musical gift and shared that gift through church choirs and community chorus. She played both the piano and organ and was a member of Bremen First Baptist Church. Her faith, music, and love for others were important parts of her life and legacy.

Mrs. Chandler is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy Chandler (Steve) Gillham, Delisa Chandler (Jeff) Gledhill, and Evangeline Chandler (Lamar) Starks; grandchildren, Priscilla (Brian) Terry, Rebecca (Joe) Banks, Luke Gledhill, Lauren (Curtis) Gann, Chandler (Hannah) Starks, and Hampton Starks; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Garland (Marie) Williamson and Billy (Kathy) Williamson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Talmadge Chandler; brothers, W.H. Williamson, Jessie Williamson, and Norris Williamson; and sister, Lynell Huggins.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 3 PM in the chapel of Almon Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the service hour at Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Jerrell Beatty and Mr. Steve Gillham officiating.
