Mrs. Clarice Hubbard Brumby, age 92 of Jot Em Down Road, Gainesville formerly of Carrollton died Tuesday, February 10, 2009. Mrs. Brumby was born in Carroll County on June 19, 1916 the daughter of the late John Hubbard and Perilee Fields Hubbard. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Glenda Brumby, III of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Brumby and Robert Thogmartin of Carrollton; grandchildren, John E. Brumby, IV, Lisa Brumby Allen, Jason Robert Thogmartin; great grandchildren, John E. Brumby V, Cameron Brumby, Jared Allen and Tyler Allen. Besides her parents he was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Brumby; brother, Theron Hubbard and sister, Lola Hubbard. Funeral service will be Friday, February 13 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Woodrow Hudson officiating. Pallbearers will be Jason Thogmartin, John Brumby, Scott Allen, Tony Reeves, Tim Reeves and Cirk Altman. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens.
