Ms. Christy Lynn Pierce, age 51 of Wedowee, Alabama passed away on February 1, 2022. Christy was born in Austell, Georgia on January 13, 1971, the daughter of Diane Smith Couch and the late Donald Pierce. She had worked as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery at Tanner Medical Center Villa Rica and a member of Roopville Road Baptist Church. She had a smile that would light up the room when she entered and a deep love for her family and friends. Christy was courageous in battling her illness and had the strength that only came from the Lord. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Abby and Kenneth Callahan, Anna Rainwater; son and daughter-in-law, Cody and Mariah Whitt; mother and step-father, Diane and Larry Couch; sisters, Carla Pierce, Donna Hyndman; grandson, Noah Callahan; granddaughter, Paisley Whitt and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Pierce. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 4 until 7 PM. A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, February 6, 2022, at 2:30 PM at Roopville Road Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Peeples officiating.
