UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION Mr. Charles Holloway Garner, age 80 of E. Lake Buckhorn Road, Temple died Friday, January 7, 2011. Mr. Garner was born in Cedartown, Georgia on May 17, 1930, the son of the late William Clarence Garner and Della V. Morris. He was owner and operator of an air tool repair business and of the Christian faith. Survivors include his daughters, Judy Dragon of Marina Del Rey, California, Jenny Garner of Atlanta; brother, Morris Garner of Valley, Alabama; sister, Sarah Swales of Panama City Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Delaney Dragon, Farrah Dragon Singer and 4 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby W. Garner and 5 brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 15 at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with his grandson, Delaney Dragon officiating. Pallbearers will be Delaney Dragon, Steve Garner, Randy Hicks, David Smith, Kenny Baker and David Landrum. Interment will be in Riverview Memorial Park.
