Mr. Charles Coley Smith, age 94, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

He was born in Carroll County, Georgia on January 13, 1930, the son of the late Lemuel O. Smith and Susie Carden Smith.

Mr. Smith served in United States Marine Corp Reserve and was a retired Dispatcher with Atlanta Gas Light. He was a member of Old Camp Methodist Church.

He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Anthony V. Smith, MD (Roxanne); stepdaughter, Susan (Dennis) Workman; step-grandchild, Penny Merritt; step great grandchildren, Adrian Brownlow, Kendrick Brownlow, Jailen Parham; sister, Corine Williams; brother, Billy Smith. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Ann Reed Smith; daughter, Tammy Lynn Smith; sisters, Sue Cosper, Evelyn Rogers, Iola Cole, Betty Green; brother, W.D. Smith.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 3, 2024 at 12 noon from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Simpkins officiating. The family will receive friends fromt 11 am until the service hour.

Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens with Adrian Brownlow, Kendrick Brownlow, Jailan Parham and Brandon Workman serving as pallbearers.
