Mr. Charles William Agan, age 90, of Winston, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday, February 9, 2026.

He was born on March 7, 1935, in Carroll County, Georgia, to Willie B. Agan, Sr. and Mallie Elizabeth White Agan.

Charles retired after more than 30 years of service with Ford Motor Company, where he worked on the assembly line. He was a man of strong faith and was of the Baptist denomination and served as a deacon throughout his adult life. He was also a member of the Flint Hill Masonic Lodge.

Charles loved spending time with his family and friends and took great joy in bringing everyone together. He especially cherished hosting large family gatherings, particularly during the holidays, when his home was filled with laughter, food, and togetherness.

He had a deep love for southern gospel music and could often be found listening to old quartets and other beloved gospel groups that brought him comfort and joy. Charles was a humble and honest man, known by all who knew him for his generous and giving nature.

When he was able, Charles enjoyed spending time outdoors. He found peace in gardening, mowing his grass, and simply keeping his home looking nice—a reflection of the care and pride he took in everything he did. In his final weeks, one of his greatest pleasures was watching the birds outside, especially the cardinals that came to visit, bringing him moments of calm and beauty.

Charles will be remembered for his kindness, humility, and the love he shared so freely with others. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Christine Agan; daughters and son-in-law, Wanda Copeland, and Donna and Tim Williams; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Young, Joyce Gordon; brothers and sisters-in-law, W.B. and Carolyn Agan, Jr., Rev. Champ and Dianne Agan, Rev. Danny and Melba Agan; sisters-in-law, Janice Agan and Imogene Vaughn; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Rush Agan; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Michael Johnston; son-in-law, Allen Wayne Copeland; sisters, Genell Weathington, Carolyn Washington; brothers, Wilburn Luther Agan, Rev. James Verlon Agan, Harold Stewart Agan, and Shearel Agan.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Almon Funeral Home and Thursday, 10 AM until 11 AM.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Driver and his great grandson, Mr. Ayden Eassey officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, with his grandsons, great-grandsons, and nephews serving as pallbearers.
