Cathy Vongsay age 62, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Thursday January 29, 2026. Cathy was born to One and Inh Phommasith in Laos on June 19, 1963. She was the first of 7. Cathy was a smart, gorgeous, lady with a big heart. She loved her family and would do anything for them.

Cathy would give you the shirt off her back, she was kind, and funny, and witty, and she adored her plants, had the most beautiful garden that showed how creative she was. She worked hard at everything she did and did it all uniquely and wholeheartedly.

Cathy lived a full life. She had stories upon stories and will be remembered by them all, for her spontaneity, her generosity, and the way she loved.

She was proceeded in death by her Father Inh Phommasith, and her brother Joe Phommasith whom she'll be meeting in heaven.

Cathy is survived by her mother, Inh Phommasith; son and daughter Eric Vongsay and Samantha Helper; along with Eric's kids Madison, Riley, and Shayla; and sisters, brother, nieces, and nephews who will cherish her memory and keep her stories.

Cathy's ashes will be laid to rest alongside her brothers on Thursday February 19th at the Temple of the Valley in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
