Mrs. Carolyn Summers Creel, age 85, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 12, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Leroy Summers, Sr. and Evelyn Cornette Summers.

Mrs. Creel dedicated her career to the corporate sector, making significant contributions in the field of accounting. Additionally, she was a devoted member of Bethesda Baptist Church, where her faith played a central role in her life.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Vickie Bearden, as well as stepdaughters Rosalyn Weekley (Jim) and Beverly Kuemmel. Her legacy extends through her grandchildren, Kevin Bearden and Corey Bearden, and step-grandchildren Mark Weekley, Sharon Weekley, Rae (Wendy) Ashley, and Jerry Ashley. Mrs. Creel's great-grandchildren, Kandace and Eli Caldwell, Kasey and Jeff Shelnutt, Autumn Phillips, Addison Phillips, Wesley Bearden, Kyler Prater, Jeremy Ashley, Meghan Ashley, Justin Ashley, Raegan Ashley, Carson Bayoumy, Rebecca Dellinger, Ben Weekley, and Elizabeth Weekley.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Creel was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Luther M. Creel, daughter, Cherry Barker, son, Barry Ingram, son-in-law, Gregg Bearden; stepdaughter, Manya Ashley, and brother Ralph Leroy Summers, Jr.

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 5 pm to 8 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Mrs. Creel's life will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 11 am at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Tony Morris.

Following the service, interment will take place at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, GA, at 1 pm.
