Carolyn Ann Scott, age 74, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025.
She was born in Clarke County, Alabama on April 22, 1951, daughter of the late, Ralph H. Scott and Lucy Jewel McHenry Scott.
Carolyn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and sociology from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi. She dedicated her professional life to serving others through her work with the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) for the State of Georgia, where she eventually retired.
Carolyn was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Carrollton Chorus.
Carolyn cherished her role as a great-aunt and shared many fond memories with her nieces and nephews. Her warmth and presence left a lasting impression on those who knew her. Known for her dedication to healthy living, she embraced life's simple pleasures in her final days—finding joy in Snickers bars and cheeseburgers.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sisters and brothers in law, Gloria Scott Murray (Glynn), Opal Scott Walston (Ricky); several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by the mother that raised her, Edner Mae Scott; life partner, Frank Boozer, infant brother, Richard Scott; and infant sister, Alvina Scott.

Frank McClellan Boozer, Jr., age 83, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on November 23, 2023.
He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 17, 1940, son of the late, Frank McClellan Boozer, Sr. and Mollie Belle Cook Boozer.
Frank obtained a Masters Degree from Florida State University and was a retired CPA/Accountant. He taught at West Georgia College and was Presbyterian by faith. Frank loved guns and history. He had an interest in genealogy which was demonstrated by his love for visiting old cemeteries with Carolyn.
He was survived by his life partner of 18 years, Carolyn Ann Scott and was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family inurnment service will be held for Carolyn and Frank at East View Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Carroll County Humane Society, PO Box 1304, Carrollton, Georgia 30112.
