Obituary

Mrs. Carol Koenig Henderson, age 90 of Carrollton, Georgia died Friday, September 25, 2015. Mrs. Henderson was born July 27, 1925 in Utica, New York, the daughter of the late Fred Koenig and Jessie Harrison Koenig. She was a registered nurse having graduated from the University of Rochester in New York. She later worked at Georgia Baptist Hospital and then Emory Dental School before retiring. Mrs. Henderson lived a life of service volunteering with Hospice and at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville. She was a member of Mt. Park Baptist Church in Lilburn. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Warren Daubenspeck of Carrollton; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Cindy Henderson of Snellville, Mark and Margaret Henderson of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Alison and Steve Ryan, Stephanie and Tom Culpepper, Philip Henderson and great grandson, Carter Ryan. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Linton S. Henderson and brother, Robert Koenig. A Celebration of Life service will be Monday, September 28 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Patton officiating. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Monday, September 28 from 10 a.m. until the service time. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta, Georgia 30346.
