Mr. Carl S. Burnett, age 85, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013. Mr. Burnett was born in Carroll County, Georgia on November 10, 1927, the son of the late Clifford Melvin Burnett and Winnie Earline Wright Burnett. He was retired store owner of Burnett Convenience Store and attended Rotherwood Congregational Methodist Church. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Tricia Burnett of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Kevin Burnett, Ashley Burnett, and Andrew Burnett; sister, Matty Reese of Piedmont, AL; sister-in-law, Syble Vaughn of Whitesburg, GA. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Dale S. Burnett, Tony L. Burnett; ex wife, Sara Akin Burnett; brother, John Burnett; sister, Nutelle Lambert; and brother Pierce Burnett. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Friday from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Graveside service and interment will be Friday, April 26, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Whitesburg Cemetery with Mr. Andy Burnett officiating. Pallbearers will be Andy Burnett, Andrew Burnett, Sean Rooks, Ken Yearta, Toney Bradley, and Kevin Burnett.
