Brad
Lipham
Dec 12, 1969 — Jan 16, 2026
Ian Bradford "Brad" Lipham, age 56, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026.
Brad was born on December 12, 1969, in Carrollton, Georgia, the beloved son of Steve Wayne Lipham and Ann Robison Lipham. He was a 1987 graduate of Carrollton High School and went on to earn his undergraduate degree from the University of West Georgia before completing dental school at the Medical College of Georgia.
While Brad was well known for his years of dedicated service as a dentist in Carrollton from 1994 until his retirement in 2020, those closest to him knew that his heart truly belonged outdoors. An avid outdoorsman, Brad found peace and purpose in nature. Fly fishing was his greatest passion, offering him quiet moments of reflection along winding streams and open waters. He treasured time spent outdoors, where patience, craftsmanship, and appreciation for God's creation came naturally to him.
After retirement, Brad and his wife moved to Carrabelle, Florida, where he continued working in dentistry at the Franklin County Men's Correctional Facility while enjoying coastal life. Whether casting a fly, caring for his dogs, tending his red Gerber daisies, or painting scenes inspired by the outdoors, Brad lived with a deep appreciation for beauty, simplicity, and stillness. Brad was a man of faith who grew up in Tabernacle Baptist Church and was a member of Tyus Baptist Church.
Above all, Brad cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Lipham; his parents, Wayne and Ann Lipham; his daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Galen Hobbs; his son and daughter-in-law, Walt and Logan Lipham; and his treasured grandchildren, Lainey, Liza, Lydi, Bodee Tyus, and Galen Hobbs IV.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Almon Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Almon Funeral Home.
