Mr. Bobby Glenn Whitaker, age 82 of Carrollton, Georgia died Friday, September 14, 2012. Mr. Whitaker was born in Carrollton, Georgia on May 23, 1930, the son of the late Carl Berry Whitaker, Sr. and Ida Hudson Whitaker. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army, retired truck driver and member of Camp Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Geneva Whitaker; daughters and sons-in-law, Paula Whitaker McLeod and James of Plantation, Florida, Carlette Whitaker Landrum and Jimmy of Winston; son, Douglas Glenn Whitaker of Douglasville; step-daughter, Sandra and Steve Scarborough of Roopville; step-son, Joey Cain of Bartow, Florida; grandsons, Christopher Wayne Duncan and his wife Cristen Duncan, Nicholas Ian Curtis, Jared Alexander Curtis; brothers, Billy Whitaker of Carrollton and C. B. Whitaker of Winston. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Whitaker. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Monday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 18 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev.
