Mrs. Barbara "Bobbie� Waddell Lassetter, age 68 of Ellijay formerly of Carrollton died Wednesday, October 24, 2007. Mrs. Lassetter was born in Gilmer County, Georgia on December 8, 1938, the daughter of the late Clay Waddell and Pearl Morris Waddell. She attended Calvary Baptist Church and retired from the Communications Department at Southwire Company. Survivors include her sisters, Laura Pettit, Vera Padgett; brothers, Kimsey Waddell, Roy Waddell, Harold Waddell, all of Ellijay, brothers-in-law, Bobby Lassetter, Alvin Lassetter, Steve Lassetter, David Lassetter; sisters-in-law, Joyce Kiser, Lynn Teel; several nieces, nephews, close friends and life long friends, Joe and Mickie Thames. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim� Lassetter, brothers, Farris Waddell, John Waddell and sisters, Madge Parks and Chris Goldstein. A graveside service and interment will be at Carroll Memory Gardens on Friday, October 26 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Kerry Cooke officiating.
