Mr. Bill G. Gable, age 78 of Kathy Lane, Carrollton died Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Mr. Gable was born in Carroll County, Georgia on April 21, 1931, the son of the late Glen Gable and Evelyn Maddox Gable. He retired from Allstate Insurance where he worked as Senior Account Agent, veteran having served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Martha Gable; daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Phil Clements of Hazlehurst, Georgia, Patrice Gable of Temple, Karen and Greg Bellamy of Charleston, South Carolina; grandchildren, Kelly Colley, Shane Cantrell, Janie Michelle Gable; three great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Judy Gable; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Eddie Suddeth; step-sons and spouses, Steve and Leslie Storey, Bob and Kori Storey and Ben and Connie Storey. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Gable and Charles Paul Gable. A memorial service will be Friday, January 15 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Interment will be in the Carrollton City Cemetery with American Legion Post #143 folding and presenting the flag.
