Mrs. Betty W. Hendrix, age 83, of Temple, GA passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014. Mrs. Hendrix was born in Carroll County on August 12, 1930 to the late Alton Windom and Dora Cantrell Windom. She retired from Wal-Mart and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Chattanooga, TN, the Shrinettes in Atlanta, GA and Eureka Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jesse Thurman Hendrix; daughters, Sue Hendrix of Temple, GA, Linda Jones of Temple, GA; and Barbara Hendrix of Bremen, GA; grandchildren, Steven Jones, Kelly Jones, Richie Brown, Matthew Carnaghi, Jessica Sullivan, Cristina Wagstaff and 9 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Brown; brother, Roy Windom; sisters, Christine Upchurch and Emily Daniel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Monday, June 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Pastors Tony Ashmore and Pastor Tony Sherrill officiating. Pallbearers will be Steven Jones, Kelly Jones, Nicolas Jones, Allen Jones, Matthew Carnaghi, Richie Brown, Michael Brown and Jonathan Sullivan. Honorary pallbearer will be Barry Yarbrough.
