Mr. Arthur Nelson Gray age 69, of Carrollton, Georgia died Thursday, September 26, 2013. Mr. Gray was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 13, 1944, the son of the late Edward Nelson Gray and Hattie Mae Little Gray. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a retired truck driver where he had driven for many trucking companies, and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his wife Jackie H. Gray; daughters, Erin Nicole Gray of Carrollton, GA and Vickie Chandler Shirey of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Bonnie Delores Taylor of Newnan, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Lamar and Sharon Gray of Daleville, AL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Jiles officiating and the American Legion Post #143 folding and presenting the flag. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Saturday, from 1p.m. until service time.
