Mrs. Annie Will Duke Hendrix, age 81 of Carrollton, Georgia died Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Mrs. Hendrix was born in Carroll County, Georgia on June 29, 1933, the daughter of the late Will Duke and Emma Parmley Duke. She was a retired x-ray technician having worked at Bowdon Hospital, Tanner Hospital and the Carrollton Surgical Group. Mrs. Hendrix attended Peachtree Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Horace King Hendrix; daughter, Deidra Hendrix Shoemake of Carrollton; grandchildren, Josh (Amby) Shoemake, Nikki Williams, Amanda (Don) Riggins, Megan Shoemake; great grandchildren, Hailee Williams, Madison Williams, Aspen Williams, Davie Shoemake, Rory Riggins, Lhana Riggins and Sloan Riggins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Steve Hendrix; brothers, W.D. Duke, Bruce Duke, Huel Duke and sister, Beulah Powers. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Thursday, September 4 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. In accordance with her wishes, her body will be cremated following the visitation and burial will be in the Carrollton City Cemetery at a later date.
