Mrs. Alice Virginia "Ginny" Childs, age 82, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Mrs. Childs was born in Birmingham, Alabama on December 17, 1938, the daughter of the late John Edward Davis and Irene Knight Davis. During her working career she worked for Home Health as a caretaker and was a member of Word of Life Church. There's never been a stronger, more fervent prayer warrior than our precious Mother! She never met a stranger and was the one everyone called on when they needed encouragement and someone to pray for them. She truly walked the walk and was the Real Deal and loved Jesus with all of her heart! She had the silliest little personality and was the happiest when she was with her kids and grandkids! You could see on her face with the biggest, toothiest grin in the world! That smile was the best and will never be forgotten! There's no one like her and never will be. She is truly unforgettable to everyone in her family or that ever crossed paths with her. We love you Mama, thank you for always being the Best Mama in the World! Survivors include her children, Allyson and Dean Wilburn of Carrollton, Jeff and Jeanene Childs of Lithia Springs, GA Esther and Jason Simpson of Ellijay, GA Stephen Childs of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Charity and Eric Berk of Jasper, GA; grandchildren, Ashley (C.Ja) Dangar, Scarlett (Tim) Morrison, Rhett Hill, Israel (Ashley) Childs, Nicollette (Cooper) Boydstun, Asher Burcham, Alex Berk, Michael Berk and 10 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Riley Childs, brother, C.E. Davis and a sister, Linda Fincher. According to her wishes her body was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Word of Life Church.
