Mrs. Nancy Jean "Alexa" Earnshaw Gentry, age 71, of Roopville, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Born on March 5, 1953, in New York, she was the daughter of the late Richard Grimm and Ruth Gilligan Earnshaw.

Alexa was a remarkable woman who lived a life full of passion and purpose. For over three decades, she poured her heart and soul into her work, owning and operating LAS Systems, Inc. Her dedication and hard work left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

She found joy in simple pleasures and cherished moments. She had a talent for quilting and generously donated her creations. Her adventurous spirit led her to riding horses and motorcycles, and she found solace in the serenity of camping. Alexa's faith was central to her life, and she shared her love for God by leading Women's Bible Studies, inspiring many with her wisdom and compassion.

Survivors include her loving husband, Johnny Gentry, daughters, Kristy McAdams and Sandy Haney; sons, Joshua Gentry, Collin Gentry; her cherished grandchildren, Marley, Miley, Nolan, Pearl, and Patricia; sister, Janie Kunst; brother, Charlie Earnshaw, and her stepfather, Thomas Earnshaw. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Almon Funeral Home on Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 5 pm until 8 pm. A funeral service honoring Alexa's life will take place on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 2 pm in the chapel of Almon Funeral Home, with Reverend Sam Newman officiating.

Interment will be in Welcome Methodist Church Cemetery with Wesley Noles, Jerry Crockett, Raphel Crews, Hal Shelnutt, Nick Holman, and Mike Loden serving as pallbearers.
