Mrs. Vickie Treadwell Esslinger, age 59 of Ashgate Way, Carrollton died Friday, February 11, 2011. Mrs. Esslinger was born in Carrollton, Georgia on July 23, 1951, the daughter of Florence Baughtman Treadwell and the late Hoyt Treadwell. She had worked as a secretary with Sony and was a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Beth Hightower Sims and Bart Sims of Carrollton; grandchildren, Brody Sims, Briley Sims; mother, Florence Treadwell of Carrollton; sister and brother-in-law, Violet Treadwell Perkins and Mark Perkins of Waco; nephews, Chris Turner, Brent Turner and special friend, Larry Parker. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Esslinger. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Saturday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral service will be Sunday, February 13 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Mr. Brent Turner officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Turner, Larry Parker, Brent Turner, Richard Driver, Jason Driver and Jimmy Adams. Honorary pallbearer will be Brody Sims. Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens.
