Mrs. Ella Mona Steele, age 78, of Temple, Georgia passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020.
Mrs. Steele was born in Carroll County, Georgia on March 8, 1942, the daughter of the late Rodney Hudson Brock and Annie Ruth Foster Brock. Mrs. Steele worked at Sony Music for over 20 years as a press operator and was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where she attended the Fellowship Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her children, Chet and Lisa Steele of Carrollton, Julie and Dennis Taylor of Carrollton, Rip Steele, Sr. of Temple; grandchildren, Jonathan (Katelynn) Steele, Felicia (Josh) Barber, Anna Tumlin, Jason (Julie) Cole, B.J. (Meghan) Taylor, Rip Patrick Steele, Jr. and Christy Steele; great grandchildren, Sophia Barber, Everleigh Barber, Kyndall Cole, Keira Cole, Harper Taylor, Mason Hemmingway, Luke Taylor, Greyson Taylor, Jenni Steele and Kaylee Steele; sister, Rodney Ann (Sam) Gosdin of Ephesus. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin D.R. Steele who passed away in 2000 and brothers, Randy H. Brock, Denon Z. Brock and Clenon Brock.
Funeral service will be Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Harris officiating.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home Thursday from 12 noon until the service time.
Pallbearers will be Rip Steele, Jr., Jonathan Steele, Jason Cole, Josh Barber, B.J. Taylor and Luke Taylor.
Interment will be in Old Camp United Methodist Church Cemetery.
