Mr. James F. "Jimmy" Vaughn, age 76 of Temple, Georgia passed away, Wednesday, April 8, 2020. Mr. Vaughn was born in Langdale, Alabama on March 31, 1944, the son of the late James F. Vaughn, Sr. and Ruby Evans Vaughn. He retired from the trucking industry after 45 years driving last for Advance Design and Packaging was an avid gardener and loved Gospel music. Mr. Vaughn was a faithful member of Roopville Road Baptist Church, the Truth Builders Sunday School class and the Celebration Choir. Survivors include his wife, Imogene Rush Vaughn; daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Neil Kittle of St. Augustine, Florida; grandson and his fiancé, Bradley Kittle and Brianna Nolan of St. Augustine, Florida; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Sam Pyle of Carrollton, Debbie and Tony Cole of Carrollton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Cheryl Vaughn of Riverdale, Gary and Ruth Vaughn of Bremen, Jerry Vaughn of Carrollton, Steve Vaughn of Carrollton and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Vaughn and Allen Vaughn. A private family graveside and interment service will be held Saturday, April 11 at 2 p.m. at Roopville Road Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Stephen Peeples and Rev. Stanley McCain officiating. Live streaming will be available on the Roopville Road Baptist Church Facebook page. A Celebration of Life service will be announced once the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Roopville Road Baptist Church Building Fund, 835 N. Hwy 27, Roopville, GA 30170.
