Mr. Mack Malone Ledford, age 76, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 surrounded by his family. Mr. Ledford was born in Murphy, NC on August 31, 1938, the son of the late Earl Grady Ledford and Grace Prudy Crisp Ledford. He retired from Lockheed - Martin and worked as a welding instructor at West Georgia Technical College . Mack had a large extended family of co-workers over the years that loved him and respected his craftsmanship and his ability to make a friend out of every hand he shook. Mack proudly served in the 101st Airborne Division in the United States Army as Staff Sargent E-6 and fought in the Vietnam War for the country he loved. He will be missed by each and every life he touched. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his lovely wife of 56 years, Louetta Ledford, his children, Darah Kalynn Smallwood, Misty Shea Ledford Windom and Iran Fain Ledford. The sparkle in his eyes were his grandchildren, Kaysi Shea Rico, Tyler Chase Haile, McKenna Lee Haile, Alyssa Marie Smallwood, Lynzie Denise Smallwood. He is also survived by his siblings, William James Ledford and Reba Helms. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Funeral service will follow visitation Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Mr. Donnie White officiating. Pallbearers will be Garner White, Ralph White, David White, Donnie White, Fain Ledford and Tyler Haile.
