Mrs. JoAnne Perry Lovvorn, age 82, of Carrollton, GA passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015. Mrs. Lovvorn was born on March 25, 1933 in Almon, AL the daughter of the late Loyd Owen Perry and Mary Jim Noel Perry. She worked for Roop Wholesale for 25 years in Bowdon, GA and owned and operated a daycare. She was a member of Campground United Methodist Church in Graham, AL and attended Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Carrollton, GA. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Gerald and Maria Lovvorn of Wedowee, AL, John A. "Tony" and Debbie Lovvorn of Carrollton, GA, brother and sister-in-law, James Loyd and Lisa Perry of Franklin, GA, sister, Julia Jeanette Barrow of Decatur, GA, grandchildren, Angie Lovvorn Platten ,Wesley Lovvorn, Tammy Lovvorn Conner, Tracy Lovvorn, Delinda Michell Garcia, Joe Garcia, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Gerald Haskal Lovvorn. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Monday, October 5, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Graveside service and interment will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Midway Community Church Cemetery in Bowdon, GA with Rev. Jerry Wiggins officiating. The family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Rocky Mount Baptist Church, 583 Buffalo Creek Rd., Carrollton, GA 30117.
