H. Manning. "Dutch" Dreyer, Jr. Mr. H. Manning. "Dutch" Dreyer, Jr., age 93 of Carrollton died Sunday, February 27, 2011. Mr. Dreyer was born in Charleston, South Carolina on February 8, 1918, the son of the late Henry M. Dreyer, Sr. and Helen Amelia Hernholm Dreyer. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Georgia Tech and University of West Georgia. Mr. Dreyer was a charter member of Peachtree Road Lutheran Church in Atlanta, Grace Lutheran Church in Carrollton and St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was retired from Plantation Pipeline and Southwire. "Dutch" was a founding member of the Kasimir Pulaski chapter of the Sons of American Veterans, who will provide a colour guard at the entry of the funeral home on Saturday. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Henry M. Dreyer, III and his wife Elaine Denney Dreyer of Carrollton; daughter, Helen Dreyer Stephens of Carrollton; brother, Russell Legge of Spartanburg, South Carolina and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death his wife, Elizabeth Reeve Dreyer. A memorial service will be Saturday, March 5 at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Pastor Michelle Kuhlman, Pastor Kirk Bridgers and Dr. Tom Carrere officiating.
