Mr. Elvin Young, age 75 of Carrollton, Georgia died Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Mr. Young was born in Lumber City, Georgia on March 21, 1941, the son of the late Ollie Cleo Young and Bertha Varnadoe Young. He retired from Nalley Honda where he worked as the parts manager and was a member of Enon Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Carol H. Young; children, Elvin Vincent Young of Newnan, Ronald Curtis Young of Newnan, Yvonne Corene Haley of Carrollton; sister, Jean Dial of Social Circle; grandchildren, Jordyn Young, Justin Young, Ann Haley, William Haley, Benjamin Haley, Matthew Castles and Kaitlyn Castles. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Bill Young, Cleo Young, Doris Shepard, Betty June Young, Bootsie Young, Mary Frances Young and John Young. Funeral service will be Friday, October 28, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Stovall officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from noon until the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Josh Heard, Greg Heard, Justin Young, Matthew Castles, Rob Haley, Joe Oxford, Ricky Williams, Rick Dunn and Ralph Gentry. Interment will be in West Georgia Memorial Park.
