Mr. Daniel Ellis Jeter, age 66 of Ringgold, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Danny was born in Carrollton, GA on March 4, 1948, the son of Ruby Daniel Jeter and the late Bob Ellis Jeter. He was a graduate of the Carrollton High School Class of 1966 and attended the University of West Georgia. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #69, Battlefield Golf Club in Ringgold, GA, and the First Baptist Church in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA. Danny was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and loved his family. He was a sales manager for the Toolsmith company in Birmingham, AL. Survivors include his wife, Becky Jeter; son, Chad Ellis Jeter; daughter, Anne Jeter both of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Drake Ellis Jeter and Ravi Orion Jeter; mother, Ruby Jeter of Carrollton. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Jeter and sister, Mary Ann Perry. The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 17 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday, December 18 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Mr. Richard Dixon, spokesperson for Danny's family & friends and Dr. Steve Davis officiating. Pallbearers will be Christopher Hicks, Jim Collins, Phil Carter, Richard Dixon, Jimmy Tuggle, and Jack Whitman. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the OYC & OYCG and members of the Battlefield Golf Club of Ringgold. Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens.
