Chester (Chet) Pittenger of Carrollton passed away April 10, 2015. He was born in Beemerville, New Jersey on April 10, 1933. He was retired from Lockwood Greene Engineers as a construction manager, then worked part-time as a building inspector for Carroll County. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters in New Jersey. He is survived by his wife Shirley Johnson, daughter Kathy Jones and husband Ty of Carrollton, daughter Colleen Kelly and husband Chuck of Cincinnati, Ohio, grandsons Wesley Smith and Dustin Jones of Carrollton, and sisters Emma Beck of Colorado, Helen Gillis of New Jersey, and Diana Wilcox of Pennsylvania. Chet was a huge NASCAR fan with Bobby Allison and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. as his favorites. The family would like to thank Memory Lane of Bowdon and Bristol Hospice for the loving care they provided to Chet and his family. Honoring the family's wishes, the body will be cremated and burial will be in Branchville, New Jersey at a later date.
