Vesta "Becky" Marie Hart, 91, of Waco, GA, passed away, June 8, 2013. She was born in Verbena, AL, on April 26, 1922. Her parents were Amos Palmer Taylor and Eunice Neeley Taylor. Mrs. Hart grew up and attended school in Clanton and Montgomery, AL, before her parents moved to Prattville, AL, where they owned Courtesy Cleaners. She is preceded in death by her parents; a beloved sister Roberta Cargile of Clanton, AL; her first husband Wilbur Elijah Golden of Kendall, FL; daughter Beverly Golden, of Jake, GA; and her husband of nearly 60 years Leo Hart. She is survived by Steven Golden of Jonesboro, GA; Cynthia Taylor of Ashland, OR; Michael Hart of Jake, GA; Kelli Hart of Front Royal, VA; grandchildren, Lynn Merritt, Marcus Golden, Christine Gordon, Heather Golden, Nicole Ruibal, Dominic Ruibal, and Eric Hart; and great grandchildren James Fant, Glen Fant, Elaine Bucci, Lindsey Merritt, Jessie Merritt Rogers, William Golden, Brandon Golden, Tori Golden, Amber Golden, Elijah Golden, Elizabeth Gordon, and Nicholas Gordon; and great great grandchildren, Dylan, Charity, Kelsey and Destiny Rogers; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hart retired after a successful career as founder and co-owner of Sunny Service, a supplier of hair and beauty products based in Hialeah, FL, where she and her husband raised their family. Her life was full and her boundless energy was an inspiration to her children, grandchildren and her many friends. She was a Dale Carnagie graduate and an active member and Sunday school teacher at Sunset Heights Baptist Church in Hialeah, FL. After the family moved to Jake, GA, in 1976, she moved her letter to Cornerstone Baptist Church in Waco, GA. Although she sold Sunny Service when the family relocated to Georgia, Mrs. Hart continued working: periodically at Wal-Mart and for a short time at a daycare center in Atlanta. While at the daycare center she and her husband Leo Hart, became "surrogate" grandparents to Zack and Tyler Forbes, sons of her good friends Lew and Nancy Forbes of Marietta, GA. She was active until the last few years of her life attending and watching her well-loved Brave's ball games, gardening, camping, decorating her home and participating in her children's and grandchildren's lives whenever possible. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, June 14 at 2 p.m. at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Waco, GA. Interment will be at Bethany Baptist Church, Verbena, AL, at a later date.
