Darrell Bruton
Mr. Darrell Bruton, age 74 of Benson Street, Galena Park, Texas died Wednesday, January 13, 2010.
Mr. Bruton was born in Bell County, Texas on April 8, 1935, the son of the late Wade Bruton and Mary Ethel Wharton Bruton.
He was a retired welder with Schlumbeger, veteran having served in the U.S. Army and member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Hazel Talley Bruton; sisters and brother-in-law, Mildred Fitch of Temple, Texas, Beatrice and Kenneth Fails of Kilgore, Texas, Edna Smith of Post, Texas, Nora Thompson of Ingram, Texas; brother, Eugene Bruton of Tahoka, Texas and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bruce Leon Bruton, Weston Alan Bruton, J.H. Bruton and Dalton Bruton.
Funeral service will be Sunday, January 17 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Mr. Joe Milam and Mr. Randy Milam officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Interment will be in the Carrollton City Cemetery.
