Obituary for Pomp "Pete" Lyle Paschal

Mr. Pomp "Pete" Lyle Paschal, age 87 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Monday, July 30, 2018.

Mr. Paschal was born in Carrollton, Georgia on February 19, 1931, the son of the late H.C. Paschal and Irene Cook Paschal. He served three years in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Paschal retired as a barber at Little Gem Barber Shop and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Linda Paschal; children, Donna (Barry) Boughn, Steve Paschal, Rhonda Paschal, Ray (Pricilla) Denney, Tim (Candi) Denney, Roger Denney all of Carrollton; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Gerldin and Runnell Paschal both of Temple and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Driver Paschal; son, Terrell Denney; brothers, Amon Paschal, Robert Paschal; sisters, Wilma Paschal Allen, Winnie Paschal Allen and Betty Paschal Wood.

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Brown officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ray Denney, Chris Denney, Taylor Denney, Will Denney, T.J. Denney and Tim Denney.

Interment will be in New Springs Methodist Church Cemetery with the American Legion Post #143 providing military honors.
