Obituary for Joseph David LaConto

Joseph David LaConto, age 82, of Carrollton, GA passed away October 21, 2017.

Mr. LaConto was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 19, 1935, son of the late Louis and Effie LaConto. He married Patty Jo Ingram on June 28, 1963 and resided in the Toledo, OH area for 30 years. They moved to Colorado Springs, CO for 8 years, then settled in Carrollton, GA in 2002.

In Toledo, Joe owned and operated Towne & Country Window Cleaning for 25 years. Devoted to his family, he was active in AYH, Western Square Dancing and he enjoyed traveling all over the U.S. In retirement he became an avid wood carver and gold prospector. Joe was involved with many carving groups including Pike’s Peak Whittlers. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Carrollton.

Joe was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Patty Jo Ingram LaConto and his brother Robert LaConto. Survivors include: son Mike LaConto, his wife Joanna, and grandsons Kevin and Mason of Greenville, SC; daughter Michelle LaConto Munn, her husband Eric, and grandson Noah of Mount Tabor, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service and interment will be held on November 11, 2017 at 2pm at Grace Lutheran Church. A reception will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home, 760 Pollard Blvd. SW, Atlanta, GA 30315.
