Obituary for Hazel Boyd Swann

Mrs. Hazel Boyd Swann, age 81 of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Friday, March 17, 2017.

Mrs. Swann was born in Villa Rica , GA on July 6, 1935, the daughter of the late James Boyd and Maggie Ward Boyd . She was a retired LPN from Parkway Regional Hospital where she worked in the ER for 35 years and was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Temple, GA.

Survivors include her husband of 12 years, Ed Hendrix; grandson and his fiancée, Lonny Whitlock and Jennifer; granddaughter and her husband, Stefany and Fred Williams; grandsons, Josh Lumsden and BJ Lumsden; granddaughter, Nisha Muse and grandson and his wife , Courtney and Lauren Morrow; special cousin, Judy Allen Rodriguez; special niece, Helen Willoughby; multiple great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Swann; daughters, Cynthia Camp and Sheila Camp and granddaughter, Nikki Lumsden.

The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be Monday, March 20, 2017 at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Don O'Shields officiating and a special reading from Lynnette Powell.

Pallbearers will be Brian Powell, Jimmy Miller, Michael Miller, Bobby Swann, Brian Armstrong and Rodney Hendrix.

Interment will follow at Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery.
