Obituary for Danny Hughes

Mr. James Danny Hughes, age 70 of Carrollton, GA passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017.

Mr. Hughes was born June 26, 1947 in Bremen, GA the son of the late Clifton Eugene Hughes and Sadie Frances Morrow Hughes. He spent his career in sales in the men's apparel industry beginning in 1972 with Warren Sewell Clothing Company. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in accounting from the University of Georgia and was a member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jones Hughes; daughter and son-in-law, Katy and Robby Danner of Macon, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Jennifer Hughes of Gentry, AR; stepchildren and their spouses, Christy and Kyle Whiten of Carrollton, GA and David and Brandy Lovvorn of Cornelia, GA; grandchildren, Marshall Danner, Hughes Danner, Spencer Danner, Jimmy Hughes, Grace Hughes, Mackenzie Whiten, Hadley Lovvorn and Jon Lovvorn; brother and sister-in-law, Cliff and Shirley Ann Hughes of Tyler, TX.

The family will receive friends on Monday at the Almon Funeral Home from 12 noon until the service hour.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Greer officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Carter, Joe Parrish, John Malloy, Lee Griffin, Roger Miles, Ed Hubbard, Quinton Bragg and Ray Thompson.

Inurnment will be in the Bremen City Cemetery.
