Charlie Almon

As a third generation funeral director, Charlie Almon understands family traditions. Charlie finds his work rewarding, serving families during their greatest time of sorrow.

Upon graduating from Carrollton High School, Charlie proceeded on to the State University of West Georgia College where he graduate with a Degree in Business Administration. In 1976 he joined the staff of the Almon Funeral Home. He then graduated from Gupton Jones School of Mortuary Science in 1978.

Charlie is also a dedicated member of the community. He serves on the Ambassador's Committee for the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Rotary Club, and a member of the First Baptist Church and the Hand Bell Choir. His hobbies include cooking and playing golf. Charlie's wife, Sissy, is a receptionist for Dr. Stringfellow at West Georgia Internal Medicine.

The Almon Funeral Home continues with the same concern and devotion to service that has been a hallmark of the Almon family for three generations

Sammy Eady

Sammy Eady has served the people of Carroll County since he joined the staff of Almon Funeral Home in 1968. As a licensed funeral director at Almon's, he has worked with many Carrollton families over the years. He was elected as the Carroll County Coroner in 1988 and is presently serving his fifth term.Sammy graduated from the John A. Gupton School of Mortuary Science, Nashville, Tennessee, in 1964. After working for 3 years in Atlanta, he and his family moved to Carrollton. His wife, Jerry McGuire Eady, is the owner and operator of Jerry's Country Kitchen in Carrollton. They have one son & daughter-in-law, Brock and Lisa Eady, of Carrollton, and one daughter, Renee Eady, of Villa Rica.The staff of the Almon Funeral home is proud to be a part of Carrollton, and Sammy Eady looks forward to serving the community for years to

Keith Hancock

Keith joined the staff of Almon Funeral Home in June of 1999. He is a 1997 graduate of Central High School in Carrollton. Upon graduating from high school he enrolled at Truett-McConnell College, a junior college, in Cleveland, Georgia. Keith served in these positions at Truett; President of the Ministerial Association, Sophomore Class President, Chaplain of the Young Republicans of N.E. Georgia, and executive committee of Student Government. Keith then transferred to Luther Rice Bible College and Theological Seminary in Lithonia, Georgia where he graduated in 2003. He also graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in 2004. Keith is a licensed funeral director and embalmer.Keith is the son of Wallace and Katherine Kidd Hancock of Carrollton. He is a member of Roopville Road Baptist Church. Keith is married to Melanie Brantley Hancock. He enjoys visiting with friends, playing with his five nephews, niece and Alabama football games.Keith sums up his feelings about Carrollton and Almon Funeral home with this statement, " I felt the Lord led me to Almon Funeral Home as a ministry to the families of Carroll County during their most difficult time. What makes me proud to be part of the staff at Almon Funeral Home is, we treat and minister to each individual family just like we would want our families to be treated."

Ethan Wiggins

Ethan Wiggins joined the staff of Almon Funeral Home in April 2010. He is a native of Carrollton, the son of Olen and Andrea Wiggins. He graduated from Central Christian Academy and is a February 2012 graduate of Gupton Jones College of Funeral Service in Decatur. While at Gupton Jones Ethan served as chaplain of Student Council and PI SIGMA ETA National Morticians Fraternity. He attends Central Baptist Church where he serves as the music director.Ethan believes that God has led him to be a part of the staff of Almon Funeral Home to be an encouragement to his community and he feels honored to serve families during their time of

Buford Clements

Buford joined the staff of Almon Funeral Home in August of 2003. He was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia and reared in Abbeville, Wilcox County, Georgia. Upon graduation from Atlanta Business College, he began work with the Atlanta Gas Light Company in Macon in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1957 until 1963. During his years with AGL, he was Office Manager in Eastman, Carrollton, and Augusta. Upon retirement from AGL in 1995, he returned to Carrollton from Augusta. He and his wife Jean, a retired court reporter, have two children, Scott Clements and Nancy Dangle, and four grandchildren. Scott resides in Augusta, and Nancy resides in Carrollton. Buford is a member of the First Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon, Chairman of the Personnel and Usher Committees. He also serves on the Worship Team, Bus Team, Church Council, Grounds Committee, Men's Ministry and is an Ambassador. Buford enjoys being Papa to his grandchildren, as well as gardening, carpentry and refinishing furniture. Buford feels blessed to be associated with Almon Funeral Home. The Almon staff ministers to the individual needs of each family for which services are provided. Our goal is to ensure this most difficult time is handled professional yet with love and care. Sandra Brown

Sandra Brown is a native of Alpharetta, Georgia and has been a resident of Carrollton since the spring of 1966. She had worked at Peoples Bank, Tisinger Law Firm and several ladies' boutiques. In the late 90's, Sandra and her husband, Dean, moved to Denton, Texas where she worked with Standard Pacific Homes as a Sales Assistant. After four years in Texas, they returned to Carrollton. Sandra has worked with Almon Funeral Home since 2004 as a Funeral Home Assistant. She was married to the late Dean Brown and they have two grown sons, Kent and Angela Brown, Deron and Debrorah Brown. Kent and his wife live in Carrollton and Deron and his wife live in Orlando, Florida. She also has 6 grandsons. Sandra enjoys spending time with her family and grandsons. She also enjoyed playing tennis. Sandra is a member of the First Baptist Church, Fidelis Sunday School Class, former choir member and Second Tuesday Red Hat PUGS.

Sissy Almon

As the wife of Charlie Almon, Sissy works part time at the funeral home as a greeter. She is also employed full time by Lee Stringfellow of West Georgia Internal Medicine as a receptionist. Sissy is a graduate of Mt. Zion High School. She is a member of the First Baptist Church where she plays in the Handbell Choir and also works in the nursery. Sissy enjoys reading, working in the yard, visiting with friends and family and playing with their two cats, Daisy and Tiger. Sissy is proud to be a part of the Almon Funeral Home. "Serving families during a great time of need and giving each the best possible service is what it is all about." is her mantra and belief when it comes to Almon Funeral Home. Sissy believes Almon Funeral Home represents honesty, loyalty, dependability, and the ability to serve each person with pride and dignity.
